Rocket powered fidget spinnerIf you are reading this far in the future, or have been living in isolation somewhere then you might not know what a fidget spinner is, but the rest of us have had just about enough of them.

Just to save you a trip to Google, a fidget spinner is a toy that has a bearing in the middle of a design made out of a variety of materials.

Some people claim these toys relieve stress or help with fidgeting, but the experts are divided on this claim with some believing that it may actually be more distracting.

The Backyard Scientist saw a video that piqued his interest and gave him an excuse to play with fire, thus the rocket powered fidget spinner was born.

He built the custom fidget spinner out of 1/4 inch aluminum plate and then he bolted on three "E" sized rocket engines.

The experiment ran into a few bumps along the way, but in the end the fidget spinner comes very close to 190 MPH, so I would say it is a success!
